A free library and reading room for the Acacia health centre yard: help our neighbors in Mumbai
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a free library and reading room - we need $650 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Acacia health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 235 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Tools hire and delivery: $75
