A free library and reading room for Pioneer Primary School: help our neighbors in Quezon City

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Pioneer Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 328 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $310 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $55 • Tools hire and delivery: $65 Every share and every dollar helps.
