A free library and reading room for Liberty Primary School: help our neighbors in Juiz de Fora

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $850. It will serve about 298 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $850 goes: • Materials: $600 • Tools hire and delivery: $145 • Safety equipment and signage: $105 If you're reading this, thank you. - Francisco
