A free library and reading room for Baobab Primary School: help our neighbors in Suwon
A community-led a free library and reading room at Baobab Primary School that will serve 502 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,550.
It will serve about 502 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,550 goes:
• Materials: $1,000
• Permits and inspections: $110
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
• Tools hire and delivery: $200
