A free library and reading room for Baobab Primary School: help our neighbors in London
A community-led a free library and reading room at Baobab Primary School that will serve 91 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a free library and reading room. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Baobab Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,050.
It will serve about 91 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $430
• Permits and inspections: $320
