A few hours of tenant-rights lawyer time could save Melanie's home
Looking for a pro bono tenant-rights lawyer in New York for a case with a deadline in October.

I'm facing a custody dispute, with a hearing on October. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer.
I'm looking for a qualified tenant-rights lawyer licensed in New York who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee.
I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Bronx or meet online.
I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Sending strength. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from San Francisco.
Thanks for sharing this. Hope this works out for you. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Keep going, Melanie. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Embakasi this morning. Blessings
You're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. Love from Southampton.
