A few hours of tenant-rights lawyer time could save Brandon's home

Brandon is facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid and can't afford a lawyer; a tenant-rights lawyer willing to review the case for free could make the difference.

I'm facing a debt-collection lawsuit I believe is invalid, with a hearing on March. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified tenant-rights lawyer licensed in Ontario who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Toronto or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. I hope life is good to you.

  • Take care, Brandon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.

    • Best of luck, Brandon. Hope this works out for you. God bless.

      • It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Mumbai donated after I showed her your page. Thinking of Toronto.

        • Hope it all works out, Brandon. Looking forward to the next update.

          • Keep going. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings
