A few hours of consumer-debt lawyer time could save Chloe's home

Legal aid is overbooked; a few hours of professional help would change the outcome for Chloe.

I'm facing a benefits termination I'm appealing, with a hearing on November. I earn too much to qualify for legal aid on paper, but not nearly enough to pay a lawyer's retainer. I'm looking for a qualified consumer-debt lawyer licensed in California who might be able to review my documents, prepare me for the hearing, or take the case pro bono or on a reduced fee. I've organized my documents chronologically, and I'll share them with the lawyer who agrees to help. I can travel to your office in Los Angeles or meet online. I understand that the time of a lawyer is valuable, and I'm deeply grateful for any help or for suggestions of organizations that could assist. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Hope things get better soon. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Kaduna.

    • Keep going, Chloe. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Wish I lived closer to Juazeiro do Norte so I could bring a meal. All the best.

You're not alone. Your post was clear and honest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings.
