A day in the garden: help Jacques in Johannesburg
Garden rescue day in Johannesburg: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Johannesburg for 41 years. After the storm in January, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out, Jacques. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. Put this on a community board in Mapo this morning.
Thanks for sharing this, Jacques. Looking forward to the next update. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Greetings from Rawalpindi
