Viviane was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in August. The surgeon at Contagem Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,950, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $2,050 short.
my wife has been in and out of Contagem Community Hospital since August. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,950 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Viviane struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Viviane won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
