A craniotomy for Taylor: covering what insurance won't
A scheduled a craniotomy in April is out of reach without help covering $4,750 of the cost.

In February I was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections. My surgeon at Saint Elizabeth Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and I have been placed on the schedule for April. The hospital's financial office gave me a written estimate of $9,500, and after what my insurance will pay, I'm still $4,750 short.
Doctors at Saint Elizabeth Hospital told me gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without a craniotomy. I work as a security guard, and I have saved what I can, but the estimate of $9,500 is far beyond what I've.
Until the surgery I can't work full days, and my hours as a security guard have already been cut. Every week of waiting means more pain and a bigger risk.
The recovery period is expected to take about 7 weeks. I'll not be able to look after the children alone during that time, so this has become a financial emergency as well as a medical one.
