Regina was diagnosed with endometriosis requiring surgery in August. The surgeon at Bilbao Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $7,250, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $3,650 short.
my wife has been in and out of Bilbao Regional Medical Center since August. The doctors say endometriosis requiring surgery will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $7,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Regina struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Regina won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
