Ploy was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in the right knee in February. The surgeon at Pattaya University Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $420, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $250 short. my wife has been in and out of Pattaya University Hospital since February. The doctors say osteoarthritis in the right knee will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $420 is more than we can find. While we wait, Ploy struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Ploy won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing. I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section. Where the $250 goes: • Travel and lodging for the family: $60 • Physiotherapy sessions: $110 • Post-operative medication: $80 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
