Leonardo was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in June. The surgeon at Saint Luke Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for August. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $11,250, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $8,450 short.
my father has been in and out of Saint Luke Hospital since June. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $11,250 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Leonardo struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
