Fatma was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in September. The surgeon at Berlin General Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $6,500, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $4,800 short.
my wife has been in and out of Berlin General Hospital since September. The doctors say a benign brain tumor will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $6,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Fatma struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Fatma won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
