Kinondoni
Byaruhanga was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in September. The surgeon at Kinondoni Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and He is scheduled for December. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $560, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $450 short. my son has been in and out of Kinondoni Regional Medical Center since September. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $560 is more than we can find. While we wait, Byaruhanga struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Byaruhanga won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing. The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did. Where the $450 goes: • Physiotherapy sessions: $70 • Pre-operative tests and imaging: $75 • Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $305 With deep gratitude, Ruth

  • Thinking of you and your family. Wishing Byaruhanga a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 23 years in engineering I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Blessings!

    • take care, Ruth. Hope the doctors have good news. I hope October is when things finally get easier. Greetings from Quezon City.
