A craniotomy for Bunga: covering what insurance won't
After an aortic valve defect, Bunga was cleared for a craniotomy, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Bunga was diagnosed with an aortic valve defect in July. The surgeon at Malang Community Hospital recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,400, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my wife has been in and out of Malang Community Hospital since July. The doctors say an aortic valve defect will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,400 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Bunga struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Bunga won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $20
• Physiotherapy sessions: $105
• Surgeon and anesthesia fees: $590
• Pre-operative tests and imaging: $110
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $375
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Bunga?
Thank you. If you're in Malang I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks, that means a lot.
Keep going. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Love from Bangkok.
Hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update. God bless.
