A covered market stall space for Unity Primary School: help our neighbors in Lagos

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $40, and the remaining cost is $500. It will serve about 419 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $500 goes: • Tools hire and delivery: $30 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Materials: $420 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen. - Femi
