A covered market stall space for Unity Park: help our neighbors in Newport

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $2,200. It will serve about 433 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $2,200 goes: • Permits and inspections: $125 • Tools hire and delivery: $310 • Materials: $1,765 If you're reading this, thank you. - Tiffany
