A covered market stall space for the Maple vacant lot: help our neighbors in Verona
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $3,200 for materials.
🇮🇹 Italy1,415 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,200.
It will serve about 482 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Materials: $2,400
• Permits and inspections: $230
• Safety equipment and signage: $330
• Tools hire and delivery: $240
