A covered market stall space for the Maple community hall: help our neighbors in Los Angeles
Volunteers in Los Angeles are raising $1,100 for a covered market stall space at the Maple community hall.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Maple community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,100.
It will serve about 364 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,100 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $350
• Tools hire and delivery: $450
• Permits and inspections: $300

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. safety equipment and signage is the biggest at $350. Good question.
