A covered market stall space for the Jacaranda vacant lot: help our neighbors in Novosibirsk
A community-led a covered market stall space at the Jacaranda vacant lot that will serve 517 neighbors.
🇷🇺 Novosibirsk, Novosibirsk Oblast, Russia768 views
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 14 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Jacaranda vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 517 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $850 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $105
• Permits and inspections: $70
• Materials: $675
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Keep going. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My neighbor in Campinas donated after I showed her your page
So sorry you're going through this, Alexei. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Stay strong, Alexei. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Wish I lived closer to Cairo so I could bring a meal. Take care
