Södertälje
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 27 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Harmony vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $2,150. It will serve about 376 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,150 goes: • Materials: $1,550 • Permits and inspections: $145 • Safety equipment and signage: $130 • Tools hire and delivery: $325 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($394 in total) I met with the suppliers and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
