A covered market stall space for Lotus Primary School: help our neighbors in Memphis

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,700. It will serve about 423 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $3,700 goes: • Materials: $2,700 • Permits and inspections: $210 • Safety equipment and signage: $440 • Tools hire and delivery: $350 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
