A covered market stall space for Liberty Primary School: help our neighbors in Bursa
Volunteers in Bursa are raising $1,050 for a covered market stall space at Liberty Primary School.
🇹🇷 Bursa, Bursa, Türkiye1,504 views
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,050.
It will serve about 237 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• Materials: $850
• Permits and inspections: $105
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $65
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
