A covered market stall space for Jacaranda Park: help our neighbors in San Jose
A community-led a covered market stall space at Jacaranda Park that will serve 95 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 24 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Jacaranda Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $940, and the remaining cost is $3,850.
It will serve about 95 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,850 goes:
• Materials: $2,900
• Permits and inspections: $390
• Safety equipment and signage: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $260
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
