A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Pune
A community-led a covered market stall space at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 597 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 597 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.

• Materials: $490
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $105
