For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Maple Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $3,750.
It will serve about 490 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,750 goes:
• Materials: $2,850
• Permits and inspections: $250
• Safety equipment and signage: $230
• Tools hire and delivery: $420
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Greetings from Aurora
