A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Cairo
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a covered market stall space - we need $500 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 367 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
