A covered market stall space: a volunteer-led effort in Buenos Aires
Volunteers in Buenos Aires are raising $300 for a covered market stall space at the Liberty vacant lot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a covered market stall space. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $300.
It will serve about 295 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $300 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $30
• Safety equipment and signage: $115
• Tools hire and delivery: $155
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

you're not alone. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Buenos Aires.
Shared this with my family. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from San Diego
Stay strong, Ramón. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer.
