Aurangabad
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $165, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 405 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $380 • Tools hire and delivery: $30 • Permits and inspections: $40 With deep gratitude, Geeta

  • shared it with a few friends. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Coventry.
