A community garden for the Union community hall: help our neighbors in Jaipur
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $350 for materials.
Anywhere in the world1,463 views
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 486 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $220
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $30
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Thanks for reading all this.
