A community garden for the Sycamore vacant lot: help our neighbors in Grenoble
Volunteers in Grenoble are raising $2,500 for a community garden at the Sycamore vacant lot.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 8 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,500.
It will serve about 468 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in December and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $360
• Materials: $1,950
• Tools hire and delivery: $190

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. safety equipment and signage comes first ($360) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. I'll keep the page updated.
