A community garden for the old Pioneer bus depot: help our neighbors in Dallas
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $3,000 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Pioneer bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $3,000.
It will serve about 208 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,000 goes:
• Materials: $1,800
• Permits and inspections: $270
• Safety equipment and signage: $510
• Tools hire and delivery: $420
