A community garden for the old Maple bus depot: help our neighbors in Salerno
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,350 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 15 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Maple bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,350.
It will serve about 127 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Materials: $690
• Permits and inspections: $210
• Safety equipment and signage: $145
• Tools hire and delivery: $305
