A community garden for the Liberty community hall: help our neighbors in Faisalabad
A community-led a community garden at the Liberty community hall that will serve 113 neighbors.
🇵🇰 Pakistan814 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $250.
It will serve about 113 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $250 goes:
• Materials: $160
• Safety equipment and signage: $60
• Permits and inspections: $30
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

how is Laiba doing now?
Rooting for you, Laiba. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I have a 12 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Take care, Laiba. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer.
