A community garden for the Baobab community hall: help our neighbors in Surrey
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,550 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,550.
It will serve about 85 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in April and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.

• Safety equipment and signage: $200
• Materials: $1,120
