A community garden for Lotus Park: help our neighbors in Peoria
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $3,300 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Lotus Park, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,300.
It will serve about 500 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in May and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $3,300 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $370
• Tools hire and delivery: $240
• Materials: $2,690
