A community garden for Freedom Primary School: help our neighbors in Caloocan
A community-led a community garden at Freedom Primary School that will serve 184 neighbors.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350.
It will serve about 184 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $350 goes:
• Materials: $185
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $70
