A community garden for Freedom Primary School: help our neighbors in Tema

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450. It will serve about 255 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $450 goes: • Materials: $380 • Permits and inspections: $15 • Safety equipment and signage: $25 • Tools hire and delivery: $30 I hope life is good to you.
