A community garden for Cedar Primary School: help our neighbors in London
Volunteers in London are raising $1,950 for a community garden at Cedar Primary School.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $1,100, and the remaining cost is $1,950.
It will serve about 441 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $170
• Materials: $1,550
• Tools hire and delivery: $230
