A community garden for Cedar Park: help our neighbors in Dhaka
A community-led a community garden at Cedar Park that will serve 559 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Cedar Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $135, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 559 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
• Materials: $390
• Permits and inspections: $25
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Tools hire and delivery: $30
