A community garden for Acacia Park: help our neighbors in Rohini
Volunteers in Rohini are raising $450 for a community garden at Acacia Park.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Park, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 457 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Permits and inspections: $60
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $50
