We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,350 for materials.

Warsaw
For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Cedar bus depot, but no funding. We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $1,350. It will serve about 145 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $1,350 goes: • Materials: $880 • Permits and inspections: $140 • Safety equipment and signage: $135 • Tools hire and delivery: $195 Thanks for reading all this. - Renata
