For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $750. It will serve about 457 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $750 goes: • Materials: $530 • Permits and inspections: $75 • Safety equipment and signage: $90 • Tools hire and delivery: $55 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Keep going, Rose. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Love from Thủ Đức

Wishing you the best, Rose. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Take care
