A community garden: a volunteer-led effort in Daegu
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community garden - we need $1,000 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community garden. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $1,000.
It will serve about 308 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in March and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Materials: $640
• Tools hire and delivery: $250
• Permits and inspections: $110
