A community fridge for the Sycamore community hall: help our neighbors in San Diego
A community-led a community fridge at the Sycamore community hall that will serve 214 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 21 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $4,650.
It will serve about 214 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $4,650 goes:
• Materials: $3,850
• Permits and inspections: $230
• Safety equipment and signage: $310
• Tools hire and delivery: $260
