A community fridge for the Sycamore community hall: help our neighbors in Kilkenny

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $2,850 for materials.

Kilkenny

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $2,850. It will serve about 299 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $2,850 goes: • Safety equipment and signage: $175 • Materials: $2,550 • Permits and inspections: $125 Every share and every dollar helps.
