A community fridge for the old Lotus bus depot: help our neighbors in Los Angeles
Volunteers in Los Angeles are raising $2,050 for a community fridge at the old Lotus bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Lotus bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $2,050.
It will serve about 334 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Tools hire and delivery: $260
• Safety equipment and signage: $200
• Materials: $1,590
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
