A community fridge for the old Jacaranda bus depot: help our neighbors in Medellín
Volunteers in Medellín are raising $850 for a community fridge at the old Jacaranda bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Jacaranda bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $850.
It will serve about 423 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $850 goes:
• Safety equipment and signage: $130
• Tools hire and delivery: $125
• Materials: $595
Every share and every dollar helps.

Sending love. It takes guts to ask. Well done. I went through something like this 14 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless.
hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to San Antonio so I could bring a meal. Blessings!
